Privacy policy

What we collect through this website, why, and your rights.

Last updated: 9 October 2026

Who we are

This website is run by Glow Nail Bar Greengates, a nail bar at 901 Harrogate Road, Greengates, Bradford, BD10. You can email us at james@tarkawebdesign.com. Our current contact details are always on our Find us page.

This policy explains what we collect through this website, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

When you send us a message

Our contact form asks for your name, your email address, your phone number if you want to give it, and your message. We store what you send on this website and it is emailed to us, so that we can read it and reply to you. We keep it until we delete it.

When you book an appointment

Our booking page asks for your name, your email address, your phone number, the treatments you choose, the time you choose and any note you add. We store your booking on this website and email it to you and to us, so that we can keep your appointment and contact you about it. We keep it until we delete it.

When you pay a deposit, the payment is taken by Stripe, a payment company, on our behalf. Your card details go straight to Stripe and are never stored on this website. We see the amount paid and whether the payment went through.

Who looks after the website

This website is hosted for us in the United Kingdom by British Web Design. They process the details above on our behalf, only to run the website and deliver its emails, and for no other purpose.

Cookies

Every visitor gets two small cookies that the website needs to work: a session cookie, which remembers you as you move from page to page (and keeps, for example, the booking you are part way through), and a security cookie, which stops other websites sending forms in your name.

The website counts its visitors without cookies, so we can see how many people visit without knowing who you are.

If we ever switch on Google Analytics or advertising tags, a banner will ask you first, and nothing of theirs is set until you accept. Your answer is remembered in your browser, so you are not asked on every page.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR) you can ask us for a copy of the details we hold about you, ask us to correct them, ask us to delete them, and object to how we use them. Email us at the address above and we will reply.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may change this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page.

Staging

This is your staging site — it is not your live website. Changes land here first so you can check them before the public sees them.
